Welcome to Daphne Elementary School's Guidance Page

Guidance services are available for every student in the school. These services include but are not limited to group guidance, small group sessions and individual counseling for all students at Daphne Elementary School. I will be glad to assist you with crisis intervention, career information, consultation for home, school and/or social concerns. I encourage parents to contact me as needed. I have material available in my office for parents as needed.

I will provide the following services:

• Personal counseling (including social, educational and career)                            
• Classroom guidance
• Small group guidance
• Parent conferences
• Teacher conferences
• Informational meetings for students and parents
• DHR and BCMH Referrals
• ARMT+ Testing
• PST, RTI and PBS team member

Baldwin County Public Schools believe that effective character education is based on core ethical values deeply rooted in our democratic society.  The value we place on personal respect, responsibility, honesty and caring are vital to the continued success of our students.  At DES our students learn the importance of effective character traits throughout the school year.  

DES also supports and implements The Peer Helpers Program. This program was designed as a part of the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation, Inc. Peer Helpers provide a support group among DES students. Students selected as peer helpers provide assistance to students as needs arise. Students who are having problems are encouraged to talk with the peer helpers about any issue they need help with—no matter how small or large it may be.
